Over the course of its almost 100-year history, STABILUS Safety has evolved from a traditional shoemaking business to a modern specialist in safety shoes and functional workwear – a development that stands for expertise, reliability, and a spirit of innovation.

The roots of STABILUS Safety date back to 1926, when the Steinacker & Hartmann factory in Nördlingen initially manufactured work boots, slippers, and field sandals. In 1951, the "STABILUS" brand was created, with which the company advanced and expanded its specialization in work and safety shoes.

Innovation has always been a driving force at STABILUS Safety – for example, the BIOAIR technology, introduced in 1970, combined the deep footbed with a patented perforation and channel system for climate-controlled ventilation. In the following decades, numerous product lines were developed - for example in 1997 with a cut-resistant boot of protection class 3, 2001 with the sports series "FITLINE", 2010 with "ACTIVELINE", 2015 with "metal free" variants, 2017/2018 with the introduction of the series "SUPERFLEX" and the CHALLENGER and GALAXY series in 2022. These developments show: STABILUS Safety combines traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology and targeted product development.

Today, STABILUS Safety stands for more than just protection: Quality, comfort, and design are integral components of high-quality product development. Safety shoes from the brand family are available in a variety of materials and features, from SB to S3 – from lightweight low shoes to robust construction boots to metal-free and ESD-compatible versions. In addition to using lightweight materials such as microfiber uppers and fiberglass toe caps, STABILUS Safety manufactures safety shoes and boots with leather uppers – a natural, durable material with outstanding properties.

At the same time, STABILUS Safety has expanded its product range with a selection of professional workwear – robust work trousers, high-visibility clothing, softshell jackets, and more – so that professionals in industry, trades, logistics, and construction can work not only safely, but also comfortably and well-equipped.
