What is "DGUV 112-191"?
DGUV Rule 112-191 is part of the regulatory framework of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV). It defines requirements for adapting safety shoes with orthopedic adjustments or orthopedic insoles. Such modifications, which must be carried out by trained specialists (orthopedic shoemakers), interfere with the construction of the shoe.
In order to ensure the safe functionality of the safety shoes even after the installation of the orthopedically necessary components, the respective work shoe models must be additionally tested in advance. The orthopedist must adhere to materials and corresponding manufacturing instructions so that insurance coverage remains valid. This applies to all safety shoes available on the market that are approved for DGUV 112-191.
STABILUS® Safety has had many models verified in accordance with DGUV Rule 112-191.

DGUV Rule 112-191 ensures that approved safety shoes from STABILUS® Safety, even with additional insoles or orthopedic adjustments, comply with current standards and that your insurance coverage remains intact in the event of a work accident.

STABILUS® Safety provides all information on the materials to be used, manufacturing instructions, and sources of supply so that the orthopedic shoemaker can make the changes.
